Regent’s Park Area Safe and Healthy Streets - Engagement Update

Camden will shortly be publishing a report on the engagement work that has taken place in the Regent’s Park Area in relation to the Council’s Safe and Healthy Streets Programme over the last two years. The report will include design recommendations for improving road safety and the area’s public realm. These recommendations will be reviewed by Camden alongside feedback from the Young Urban Designers Programme, which is seeking input from young people in the area and will end in Spring 2024.

As part of the review, Camden will evaluate the feasibility of the different design solutions proposed. This includes how designs might impact traffic, road safety, air pollution and placemaking in the area. The Council will then make a decision on which schemes to take forward for implementation. The selected schemes will be funded by the HS2 Road Safety Fund. Delivery will likely begin within 18 months of the publication of the engagement report and will be subject to further public consultation.
