Camden will shortly be publishing a report on the engagement work that has taken place in the Regent’s Park Area in relation to the Council’s Safe and Healthy Streets Programme over the last two years. The report will include design recommendations for improving road safety and the area’s public realm. These recommendations will be reviewed by Camden alongside feedback from the Young Urban Designers Programme, which is seeking input from young people in the area and will end in Spring 2024. As part of the review, Camden will evaluate the feasibility of the different design solutions proposed. This includes how designs might impact traffic, road safety, air pollution and placemaking in the area. The Council will then make a decision on which schemes to take forward for implementation. The selected schemes will be funded by the HS2 Road Safety Fund. Delivery will likely begin within 18 months of the publication of the engagement report and will be subject to further public consultation. Regent’s Park Area Safe and Healthy Streets - Engagement Update

After Camden Council’s initial consultation on proposed updates to the EAP (a planning document that will help to shape the future of the Euston area) in Spring 2023, work on the Plan was paused while HS2 worked on different station options as part of a cost cutting exercise at Euston. As the Government has now announced HS2 will come to Euston but that they expect the station and tracks to be funded privately (October 2023), the Council is restarting work on the update to the EAP. The biggest changes are to be focussed on the station and Cutting chapters. Our current timetable includes additional consultation of a revised draft in Summer 2024 that will be available on this website. EUSTON AREA PLAN UPDATE (EAP) DECEMBER 2023

In April, we launched the Regent’s Park Area Safe and Healthy Streets project, during which we met with you to hear your views to improve road safety in the area. The next step is now to meet with you again to design solutions to the issues you have identified previously. We now want to give you the opportunity to design together to improve your local area. We will be holding two public workshops where we will work together with you to design solutions to the issues faced locally. Please join us at : • A drop-in session on Thursday 21st September at the Old Diorama Art Centre from 4 to 7.30pm(Regent’s Place, 201 Drummond St, London NW1 3FE). • The Play Street organised on Stanhope Street (London NW1 3EX) on Wednesday 18th October, where we hold a Co-design stand from 3.30 to 5.30pm.
